Yet again, our talented team of software developers, proved that we are not only passionate about developing great games, but we are equally passionate about helping others, especially those who are less fortunate. We were delighted to have the opportunity to enter a team of enthusiastic football players to face a tough competition in the Information & Communication Technology Football Challenge 2017, which saw teams representing some of the best IT companies in Slovakia.
The main aim of the tournament was a financial donation for The Association helping Children`s Oncology that works in conjunction with The Department of Pediatric Oncology at the Kramare Hospital in Bratislava trying to save lives of the most vulnerable amongst us.
For some a game of football with colleagues after work is simply a fun way to get exercise. But for Tom Horn, and other companies participating in the ICTFC tournament, there was an additional value, which was the most important – sport changing lives and providing hope for those who face adversity and challenges in situations we may never experience.
We, at Tom Horn, believe that ‚doing good‘ should not only co-exist in business, it should become a vital part of its life cycle.
Although, our team did not emerge the victor of the tournament /yet we still finished in a beautiful 3rd place/, we are still very proud to be part of this amazing event that has raised a good deal of money for children with cancer.
